What Have We been Doing?

I know I haven't posted in a while. This time of year is so very busy for me. First of all, I want to show off the items that I recently received from my DonorsChoose projects...yes I said projects....there were two of them.

I got my kiddos a very nice Kindle Fire HD hoping it would be a huge motivator to read more. Guess what....it is working! They are all so motivated to read....as a matter of fact...they beg to go to the library area and read!! Yahoo!!!!

I also got us quite a bit of paint and stretched canvasses for our Aboriginal art project that we will be doing within the next two weeks.

Now....take a look at my sweet kiddos working on their rock paintings. They were so engrossed in this activity and their rock paintings turned out so good.

Also, I want to show you how a couple of my students used their own ideas to make a 3D picture of The Great Barrier Reef.

It never occurred to me to use modeling clay to make their paintings 3D...but these little geniuses thought of it and it turned out so good!
